Easter Table Settings

Today I wanted to share a little inspiration for your Easter tables! I love the cocktail of springtime colors to choose from for Easter- frilly pinks, baby blues, and pretty purples- light and fresh after the deep reds and glitz of the holidays.

My only rule? Bring out your best stuff. This isn't the time for the rustic look- a holy day calls for china, silver, and a beautiful table.

I'm totally in love with everything about this pastel place setting- especially the pretty pink peony in the middle!

Finally, I have to share my mom's gorgeous table settings. She uses her Lenox Autumn china, with gold accessories, and always adds pretty Easter baskets. (Yes, my brother and I are edging in towards 30 and we still get Easter baskets).

Passover Plates

Vintage Silver

I’ve been wanting to start collecting transferware, so I made a trip to an antiques shop this weekend to pick up my first few pieces.  I’m not usually an antique person, so I was surprised to find myself wanting to start a completely different collection: vintage silver. 

The shop had tons and tons of silver wine buckets, trays, teapots, and pitchers, all polished up and looking new.  I’m still regretting not purchasing a huge, unique vintage silver lazy Susan- I've had to call my mother the past 3 days in a row to have her remind me of the price and why I walked away!

 

Check out how beautiful vintage silver can be for entertaining. I don't think it will be long before I'm back at the shop to start another collection.

Fall Entertaining Favorites

Today, I have a roundup of some elegant fall entertaining items. I have plain white dinnerware, and I love updating it seasonally by adding new linens or a fresh serving platter. I'm especially obsessed with the table runner below, which would look great set against those gold chargers. And the bronze tiered tray is perfect for Thanksgiving appetizers or dessert.
